Founder | Master Carpenter
Jeff is our founder and official team captain. He was always a natural when it came to building things. He worked on construction crews during high school and then, following college, as his apathy toward having a desk job grew, he joined the construction industry full time. In 2006, Jeff followed his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for building and started Hoxie Homes. Jeff loves the smell of fresh cut lumber and seeing a job progress on-site. He is proud of the relationships he has built with his clients, many of whom are repeat customers. Everyone at Hoxie Homes has learned all aspects of building quality homes from the ground up. There is a comprehensive understanding of everything from the initial homesite dig to all the finishing touches that make each home special and unique.
Jeff is a dad to four great kids and a husband to his awesome wife, Gretchen. In his free time, Jeff enjoys traveling with his family, coaching and volunteering for his kids’ activities, and passing on his love of building to his own kids in the workshop.
Stephanie Wambeke
Director of Operations & Design
Stephanie joined the Hoxie Homes team after being a client herself. She appreciated the professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail Hoxie Homes dedicated to her full home remodel so when asked to join the team, she quickly accepted. She and her husband Scott have 3 awesome children (2 sons and a daughter, all in college). In her free time, she enjoys being a super fan at her kids’ collegiate events, completing projects on her 1927 farmhouse, traveling, and hanging out with her "mom squad". She hopes to one day be best friends with Chip and Joanna Gaines.
Scott Lauwagie
Senior Project Manager
Before coming to Hoxie Homes, Scott ran his own custom home framing business for 15 years. He has a degree in construction and has worked in the industry for over 30 years. Building relationships with customers and seeing client projects come to full fruition is what Scott enjoys most about his work. He loves that Hoxie Homes employs a professional, solid team of people who are full of personality, creativity and great craftmanship. He and his wonderful wife Crisy have 3 extraordinary daughters. Scott enjoys snowmobiling, hunting, coaching his kids’ teams and tackling the always full “honey to-do list”.
